VHDG Partnership

VHDG presents four Dutch artists during the 17th edition of the SURVIVAL Art Review in Wrocław, a group exhibition that takes place from June 28 to July 2. At the invitation of the curator Arda van Tiggelen, Bouke Groen, Natalia Papaeva, Isabel Marcos and Sil Krol they create work specific to the place where the Art Review will take place – the empty building of the former Jewish hospital at al. Wiśniowa 36 in Wrocław.

In 2017, the Art Transparent Foundation from Wrocław and the VHDG artistic initiative met with each other. During the meeting of the Tandem organization, which stimulates European cooperation, the organizations discovered a common mentality and working method. What VHDG does in Leeuwarden, Art Transparent does in Wroclaw: it offers the stage to young artists and unexpectedly releases contemporary art onto the surface in public space. Art Transparent, together with a small, professional team, organizes exhibitions in its Geppert Apartment gallery as well as other exciting, socially engaged projects. Since 2005, they have been organizing a special annual exhibition: SURVIVAL Art Review. This year, VHDG and four Dutch artists will take part in the 17th edition of SURVIVAL.

17. Art Review SURVIVAL co-financed by the Mondriaan Fund.
